It’s finally happening! After years of badgering and intimidation, Kripalu Center in Western Mass (where I have led meditation retreats for years) has agreed to host an event just for men. They said they really haven’t had “Men’s Events” since the days of Robert Bly. Personally, I’m stoked, but it is a challenge to get the word out about the event. Typically, Kripalu hosts spiritual retreats and yoga events. And typically, I do my men’s weekends at places like Menla that we rent out for our purposes. Kripalu is great because they provide the space, the registration, the accommodation, the food etc. Also, if men want to make it a bit more of a luxurious weekend, they can go to the sauna, book massages, and do that sort of thing. Anyway, you’ll be hearing more about it as it get’s closer to June, but for now I wanted to give you the heads up and get you signed up.
Here’a the blurb we have on the postcards etc.
Would you like to be a happier man? Or a better father? Or have deeper friendships with other men? Our weekend provides a unique chance for men to gather and explore what it means to be happy, strong, passionate, masculine, intelligent, spiritually-connected, purpose-driven men in today’s crazy world. The weekend is lead by veteran meditation teacher, author, and men’s group facilitator David H Wagner, who will be sharing insights and processes from his upcoming Men’s book
WILDMAN – A Modern Man’s Guide to Power, Freedom, and Real Happiness.
I love that the weekend is happening over Father’s Day. Of course, it doesn’t mean that only fathers will be there. But it does give us a cool backdrop to look at our own stuff about our own dads. We have a growing community of really cool men who are doing our stuff and I am anticipating a great turnout for this weekend. You can follow this link for the registration details. And don’t hesitate to reach out directly with any questions.
Sign up. Bring a buddy. You’ll be so glad you did.
